About Us

Sickle Cell Awareness and Health Foundation is a non-profit organization that started in March 2018 as an awareness forum and was registered in January 2020 as a non-profit organisation with Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria.

We are driven by two significant objectives; to intensify awareness on Sickle Cell Disorder (SCD) and to ensure that the less privileged persons with this disorder have access to quality healthcare.

Our awareness projects are carried out to ensure that an increased percentage of persons are tested to know their genotype status. Thus equipping them with the information required to make informed decisions as regards their marital partner and/or offspring(s).

This awareness and health foundation hopes to truncate the continued inheritance of sickle cell disease and occurrence in Nigeria, reduce child and maternal mortality and eradicate the stigma associated with Sickle Cell Disease.
We hope to achieve these by utilizing social media and targeted programs aimed at creating awareness on Sickle Cell Disorder.

Our Mission

To truncate the continued inheritance of sickle cell disease through effective awareness campaigns and to foster increased healthcare accessibility and delivery to people living with Sickle Cell Disorder.

Our Vission

Our Values

Our people are our values. We share a common passion for breaking the sickle cycle; thus, this creates unrivalled determination to succeed. We embody bravery and compassion. We are purpose-driven, informed and relentless.
